A plain-language summary of what DBVibe collects, what stays on your device, and how Team Edition accounts work.

Last updated: July 7, 2026

1. The short version

DBVibe is a database client, so we try to keep your database work under your control. Your database credentials, database data, query results, and local workspace files are meant to stay on your device unless you choose a feature that needs to send something over the network.

Lite and Ultimate editions do not require you to register a DBVibe account. You may still provide a license email or payment details when buying, activating, renewing, or getting support, but we do not create a DBVibe account or team member profile for Lite or Ultimate users.

Team Edition is different because collaboration needs accounts. If you use Team Edition, we may store account, team, role, invite, permission, and workspace records so your team can share access safely.

2. Information we may collect

  • For Team Edition: account details such as your email address, profile information you provide, team membership, roles, invitations, permissions, and related timestamps.
  • For Lite, Ultimate, and Team licenses: license details such as license key, license email, plan, app edition, activation status, activation or renewal timestamps, and a one-way private hashed device identifier used for license management.
  • For license activation, the desktop app generates a random local installation secret and sends only an opaque derived device ID to DBVibe. We store a server-side private hash of that identifier and do not use it to collect your hostname, operating system username, hardware serial number, MAC address, or raw local installation secret.
  • Payment details handled by payment providers. DBVibe does not store complete card numbers or payment credentials on our own servers.
  • Basic website and app activity, such as downloads, installs, launches, selected database type, feature usage, app version, operating system, approximate region, diagnostics, crash reports, and error logs.
  • Team workspace details when Team Edition is used, such as team names, member roles, invitations, permissions, shared connection metadata, and collaboration activity.
  • Support messages and attachments you choose to send us, including your email address and any diagnostic details you include.

3. Database data and credentials

DBVibe may let you save database connection settings, passwords, SSH keys, SSL settings, and database metadata in the desktop app. These are intended to stay local unless you turn on or use a feature that clearly needs selected information to be sent, such as Team Edition sharing, sync, support, or another cloud-backed workflow.

We do not use the website or license system to collect the contents of your databases. Please do not send sensitive production data to DBVibe support or third-party services unless you have permission and it is truly necessary.

4. How we use information

  • Run, secure, maintain, and improve DBVibe.
  • Activate, validate, renew, and troubleshoot local licenses without requiring Lite or Ultimate users to create accounts, using a one-way private hashed device identifier to count activations while reducing personal information exposure.
  • Power Team Edition collaboration, including accounts, invites, roles, permissions, and shared workspaces.
  • Process payments, prevent fraud, meet tax or accounting requirements, and answer support requests.
  • Understand aggregate product usage, investigate crashes, improve performance, and decide what to improve next.
  • Send important service messages, product updates, security notices, and purchase or license emails.

5. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and changes. No system is perfect, so you should also protect your database secrets, use strong credentials, limit permissions, and keep DBVibe and your operating system updated.

6. Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or limit the use of certain personal information. You may also unsubscribe from non-essential emails. To make a request, contact us using the email below.

You can delete local app data, remove saved database connections, revoke team invitations, leave teams, request deletion of Team Edition account data, or deactivate licenses where the product provides those options.

7. International processing

DBVibe and our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. When required, we use appropriate protections for international transfers.

8. Children

DBVibe is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

9. Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If the changes are important, we will update the Last updated date and may also notify you through the website, app, or email.
